Undue Influence Jury Verdict - Sean Breen secured a jury verdict and judgment in Wichita Falls against a defendant who committed fraud against his own wife. Breen represented two adult sons whose parents had been married for 40 years and worked together shoulder to shoulder to build an estate. When the father died, the mother's health and mental condition deteriorated and she remarried. Her new husband worked to separate her from her family and advisors, and then from her money, re-doing her will shortly before her death to disinherit her sons. After the jury verdict, the culprit filed for bankruptcy in hopes to escape it, but Breen pursued him there, ultimately collecting a house, an SUV, an IRA and personal property and an excess judgment.
Construction Accident Jury Trial - Sean Breen and Randy Howry successfully prosecuted a case against a General Contractor and Framer for catastrophic injuries suffered by other subcontractors in a devastating roof collapse. The General Contractor agreed to a confidential settlement after the jury was picked and shortly before evidence was about to start.
Trial Victory of Partnership Dispute - Sean Breen helped to secure a victory for their corporate and individual clients after a trial in March. The client was sued for allegations of fraud, shareholder oppression, self dealing, intentional infliction of emotional distress and breach of contract. The plaintiff sought millions of dollars in damages. Breen and Herman countersued, successfully defended the claims against their clients and won a recovery against the claimant on the countersuit.
