Firm Provides Training to
CASA Volunteers

In March 2006, Tim Herman conducted a training session for the executive directors of local chapters throughout the state of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). CASA serves thousands of foster children across Texas as their special advocates, especially in issues related to the legal courts. Mr. Herman shared important information with the chapter directors about such issues as Open Records Acts, court protocol and many other legal challenges that the directors are likely to encounter in their work.

“There are many important legal issues on which our members need to receive training and we appreciate the support Herman Howry and Breen is providing. I believe it lends credibility to have practicing attorneys explain how these issues are addressed ‘in the real world,’” said Chris Hubner, Texas CASA Policy & Grants Management Director.

In upcoming months Herman Howry and Breen will conduct training for new Court Appointed Advocates working with foster children.
