| Randy Howry Leads Panel to Advocate for Austin Youth Facility
In his role as president of the West Austin Youth Association (WAYA), Randy Howry organized a stellar team of presenters speaking on behalf of WAYA to The University of Texas Board or Regents Task Force earlier this year. The purpose of the presentation was to advocate for the importance of keeping WAYA where it is, given the many services it provides the youth of Austin. The Task Force is exploring land use options for the UT-owned Brackenridge track of land that extends between Enfield Road and Lake Austin Boulevard west of Exposition Road. Joining Randy as presenters on behalf of WAYA were Dr. Harold Brumley, Sammy Joseph, Randy McEachern, Anne Wynne Ellis, Louis Bratton, Kelly Kocurek and Courtney Houston. A response to the panel's presentation is expected later this year.
