Herman Howry & Breen L.L.P. Takes on Transit Giants Across Texas

Leveraging experience gained from a successful verdict for Longhorn Railway in its suit against Capital Metro of Austin two years ago, another contractor of Capital Metro, Agent Systems, Inc., has called upon Herman Howry & Breen for assistance. Several years ago Agent Systems developed customized fare collection systems for various public transit authorities across Texas. Half-way through the project, the transit authorities cancelled the project and left Agent Systems with a breach of contract.

Agent Systems had read about Herman Howry & Breen’s victory for Longhorn Railway in the newspapers and was happy to have the same type of experience with their first case that took place in late 2003. “Tim Herman was brilliant,” commented Brian Waters, president of Agent Systems, referring to the case against the Dallas Transit Authority. “His level of preparedness, total command of the facts and ability to get results in the courtroom were so exceptional that the judge decided the case should be settled half-way through the trial.”

Herman Howry & Breen is now preparing for a December, 2004 trial for Agent Systems against the transit authorities in Fort Worth and Capital Metro in Austin.
