Firm Sponsors Texas Book Festival Student Writing Contest

Herman Howry & Breen sponsored a UIL writing contest for students in middle school and high school that was part of the Texas Book Festival. Papers were judged by authors with first, second and third place winners receiving cash awards. There were three age groups, 7-8th graders, 9-10th graders and 11-12th graders. First place winners in each category were invited to the Book Festival last Fall to present their papers and receive their awards. Submissions for the 2007 Book Festival are due at the Texas Book Festival office by June 1, 2007.
