Shedding Light on Recent Legislation

The passage of House Bill 4 (aka. "Tort Reform") and Proposition 12 a few months ago in the special statewide election has ramifications to legal professionals and the community at large on many levels. Given Herman, Howry and Breen's emphasis on civil trial work, we have taken steps to better understand the impact of this new legislation. Our firm has written articles and given presentations on this important subject. We also have taken an active role in the organization, Texans for Civil Justice, composed of plaintiff's and defense lawyers devoted to the preservation of our right to a jury trial.
